A little tree with long-lasting flavor
Savour™ looks like a little tree—a tasty topiary that is green and bountiful all year long. Unlike ordinary basils, Savour never stops flourishing, so you can grow it in the garden or on the patio in the summer, and move it inside to the windowsill in winter.
A Greek-type, gourmet basil, Savour's hardiness and unique shape are due to grafting great culinary basil onto the root system of a wild variety. Rich and robust, Savour will fill your kitchen with mouth-watering smells and your dishes with abundant flavor.
How to take care of Savour Greek Basil tree.
Place Savour in a spot with high light,
like near a window that receives lots of sun exposure. Savour does best at temperatures between 65°–80° F. Plant in a pot with well-draining potting material inside and a hole for water to drain from. If the pot has a saucer, make sure Savour does not sit in standing water after watering.
Savour doesn’t need daily waterings. To keep the roots happy, only water when the soil is completely dry, and be sure NOT to get the foliage wet when watering. Multiple days may pass between waterings.
Maintain the shape of your tree by harvesting and enjoying Savour regularly. It is best to keep Savour’s head 6–9″ in diameter, so trim often. Be sure to clean all trimmed foliage away from the head to keep Savour tidy. If the head of the tree is allowed to get too large, it can crack open. If this does happen, just trim back to reshape your tree.
Be gentle with the trunk when handling.
Feed Savour by using a well-balanced fertilizer twice per month.
